When Function Dictates Form

Alright, I realize this clock may not be everyone's cup of tea. Sure, it's big, It's got an exposed mechanism that could easily collect dust, the number display- regular and roman numerals..
The thing is, all these things I mentioned? All these things that would keep some people from liking this machine are the very things that capture my attention.
I look at this object and I marvel at the design work and the craftsmanship that went into its manufacture. No computers used to put this thing together!
